I have to admit, I'm hopeless at wrapping newborns and I can't rock them to sleep, whether they're your babies or my own!

My journey into newborn photography has been a discovery of what truly resonates with me. I've tried countless times to perfect those delicate, soft newborn photos where your tiny baby is all wrapped up like a burrito, but I quickly realised it just wasn't for me.

When I step into your home for a newborn session, I won't take your baby out of your arms or put them in outfits that aren’t their own. There's no pressure for them to be one week old or fast asleep. If they do happen to fall asleep, that's when I will take the opportunity to gently lay them down in your bed or their cot and capture a few details, but this is never the ultimate goal.

I'm there to capture those precious early days with you and your newborn in their purest form. Whether it's the quiet intimacy of cluster feeding sessions, the tender moments of changing a tiny nappy, the morning hustle of making breakfast with a toddler on your hip and a newborn snuggled close, or finding a peaceful moment to lay down in bed or soak in a bath while enjoying those sweet little cuddles – these are the genuine, heartfelt moments of motherhood that I cherish capturing.

Babies are absolutely perfect just as they are, without fancy knits or swaddling. In fact, my favourite way to capture a newborn is in a simple Bonds suit, a tiny nappy, or nothing at all. Those skin-to-skin moments are such a beautiful and raw way to capture those early days earthside.
