Hi, Im Kirstie
I’m Kirstie, a family photographer based in Murwillumbah, tucked between the Gold Coast and Byron Bay. I’m also a mum to three girls who seem to grow every time I look away.
The photographs I love most of my own family aren’t the organised ones. They’re the sleepy faces around the kitchen bench, salty hair after the beach and the way one of my girls will still fold herself into my lap.
That’s how I photograph other families too. I won’t spend the whole session asking everyone to stand still and look at me. Your kids can run, climb, wander off and come back when they’re ready. I’ll give you a little direction when you need it, then leave enough space for things to happen on their own.
When I’m not taking photos, I’m usually surfing, dragging home another piece of vintage furniture I’ve decided to fix, or sitting somewhere sunny with a book.
